GB CEO John McNamara, Executive Director - Personal Injury, Darrin Wright, and General Manager - Self Insurance, Ben Sheat, will be presenting at the 2018 PIEF Personal Injury and Disability Conference being held in Adelaide 17-18 October.

The Personal Injury and Disability Management National Conference 2018 is a premier personal injury industry event and each year brings together a line up of inspiring and engaging speakers from across Australia.

In 2018 the theme of the conference is ‘The future is now’ with three areas of focus: “Person Centred Approaches”, “Innovation, Data and Technology” and “Health, Wellbeing and Recovery Pathways”.

John McNamara will open the event as part of a plenary panel discussing "The Future is Now: An Industry Wide Perspective".

John will be joined by Clare Amies (CEO - WorkSafe Victoria), Rob Cordiner (Chief Executive - ReturnToWork SA),  Carmel Donnelly (Chief Executive - SIRA) and Lisa Simpson (Partner - PwC).

Continuing the theme of evolution in health, GB's Darrin Wright will be presenting new models for managing mental injury in the emergency services sector.

Darrin's presentation draws from the collaborative efforts of more than 130 emergency services health and safety experts who joined GB earlier in the year as part of our Emergency Services Gathering hackaton.

On day two of the conference GB's General Manager - Self Insurance, Ben Sheat, will present Self Insurance - planning for success.

With more and more organisations now considering self insurance as a strategy to improve business performance and organisational health and safety, Ben will present valuable advice on how businesses can plan for success in their self insurance transformation.

The conference will feature keynote presentations from cancer survivor, inspirational speaker and international best-selling author Michael Crossland and CEO of Emergent, global strategist and influencer, Holly Ransom.
