The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) have named Gallagher Bassett (GB) as a  finalist at the 2019 Insurance Industry Awards in the category of Insurtech Program of the Year.

GB was named a finalist in recognition of its development of Poster Designer, a free online tool which allows organisations to run targeted workplace health and safety campaigns by customising and downloading from a library of more than 100 health and safety poster templates. 

Since launch, more than 2,500 different organisations have used the tool, with the posters appearing everywhere from police stations, to schools, to abattoirs to brewerys.

GB’s General Manager – Marketing and Communications, Drew Spilsbury, who lead the development of Poster Designer was delighted with the news.

“I'm really proud to see Poster Designer recognised as a finalist for Insurtech Program of the Year;  at GB we pride ourselves on delivering claims solutions that are bespoke and totally customisable for our clients - it's great to see a part of our offering which really embodies that philosophy get this type of recognition” Drew said.

This is Drew's second time being named a finalist in this ANZIIF category, in 2019 he won ANZIIF Innovation of the Year for the development of GB's online Self Insurance LaunchPad.

When asked why GB is successful as an innovator Drew was quick to point to GB's corporate culture and values.

Attended by more than 750 of the industry’s top executives, the Australian Insurance Industry Awards recognise the finalists and winners of 17 award categories, which include individuals and companies spanning the breadth of Australian insurance.

GB's John Deane has also been named a finalist for Young Insurance Professional of the Year at the 2019 awards.

In previous years GB has been recognised as Service Provider of the Year and for the Innovation of the Year.

Winners of each category will be announced at the ANZIIF annual awards dinner on Thursday 27th of August.
