Scott Newland Appointed to the role of General Manager – Government and Long Tail Claims
Gallagher Bassett (GB) is pleased to announce that Scott Newland has been permanently appointed as General Manager – Government and Long Tail Claims. Based in GB’s Brisbane office, Scott is responsible for leading these lines of the business for Australia.
Scott has served as acting General Manager – Government and Long Tail Claims for the past six months and has excelled in leading the function across many of GB’s key clients, including icare NSW, Comcover and Lloyds.
Scott is looking forward to continuing delivering for our clients:

In this newly established role, Scott focuses on leading the development and growth of two critical lines of business, which showcase the depth of expertise within Gallagher Bassett in providing liability and professional indemnity solutions to clients.

Scott has over 10 years of experience and knowledge in the insurance industry. Prior to joining GB, he held a number of leadership roles for Marsh and Insurance Australia Group (IAG) spanning a variety of functions and locations.
