This month, in honour of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the accomplishments of some of our inspiring female leaders.

Stephanie Connolly joined GB over six years ago in an Injury Management Advisory position, quickly rising through management ranks during this time to her current role as Victoria’s Assistant Operations Manager.

Stephanie’s current role predominantly involves overseeing and managing Victoria’s early Return to Work measures and improving GB’s business practices such as the expansion of Streamline Treatment.

With a strong interest and drive to improve GB’s performance for our Clients, Stephanie is excited about Victoria’s roll-out of Mobile Case Management this year,

“This will have a positive impact on clients as it will enable them to meet with both their injured worker and GB face-to-face from the onset of a claim, providing an even greater service offering.”

We sat down with Stephanie to find out a little more about her time at GB.

What do you enjoy most about working at GB?

I enjoy the constant support and development at GB, as well as the team’s drive to ensure we have a high performance culture. We have fantastic staff here that are very dedicated and passionate about what they do.

What are some of your accomplishments during your time at GB that you are most proud of?

Personally, one of my proudest moments was as a Team Manager, when my team exceeded all RTW targets. I feel most proud of this as it was a team effort and it was great seeing everyone support each other to work towards a common goal and ultimately achieve it.

How has GB supported you and your career?

GB has supported me by always providing me with the tools and support required to develop. They have given me endless opportunities to enhance my skillset and have pushed me out of my comfort zone. This has greatly assisted me in my career as it has allowed me to always put my best foot forward.

Any humorous or ‘stand out’ memories from your time at GB that you’d like to share?

Recently as part of our cultural initiatives, we had a pie throwing contest, where staff from each team were able to throw whipped cream at Aidan Brophy, General Manager, Gary Robertson, Assistant Operations Manager, and Stephen Farrell, Team Manager Dispute Resolution. I think was really great that our Senior Managers took part and it was a good laugh for everyone.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I live near the beach so spend a lot of time down there. I’m an avid reader, enjoy exercising and must indulge in a cheese platter once a week!
