Paralympian and Former Injured Worker Jack Swift Presents His Inspiring Journey

When GB first met Jack in 2006, his world had recently been turned upside-down while working as a plumber's labourer in Melbourne.

His right leg had been crushed by a 14-tonne excavator and severed below the knee. Mr Swift underwent extensive skin grafts and many months of rehabilitation. At 21 years old, he slowly learned to walk again.

According to. Mr Swift, immediately after the accident, his GB claims manager worked with doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists and counsellors to ensure he was fitted with a prosthesis so he could start moving again.

GB recently invited Jack to speak at our annual Workers' Compensation Seminar in Victoria. View the video below to hear Jack's inspiring story.
