We are proud to share Nathan Pilgrim, Gallagher Bassett Australia’s Chief Information, Product & Strategy Officer, has been named as one of Australia’s top 50 tech leaders in the CIO50.

Now in its seventh year, the 2022 CIO50 Australia celebrated the achievements of industry-leading technology and digital executives who drive innovation, build strong cultures and influence their organisations.

The award recognised Nathan’s work to transform our business in response to COVID-19, through the creation of an agile and remote working framework. The GB Agile Workforce program empowered staff to make more sustainable and flexible working choices.

“Key to achieving a sustainable sourcing model was building robust systems and processes, IT provisioning, health and safety training, a service desk and internal talent resources,” Nathan Pilgrim told CIO Australia.

“These innovations enable team members to maintain strong connections with their leaders and reinforce our unique cultural DNA (i.e. the Gallagher Way). The rapid adoption of these tools also saw staff become more tech literate. The introduction of our automation and AI technologies for extracting sentiment helped our business make better decisions.”

Nathan has been a key part of our business for more than four years and his stewardship during the COVID-19 pandemic has driven a resilient, satisfied and agile workforce. Through an omnichannel collaboration approach, social activities and team-building was maintained to enable our employees to build connection with their leaders and each other.

The award builds on GB’s recognition earlier this year, by Insurance Business, as one of the Australian insurance industry’s most innovative companies.

Congratulations to Nathan on this incredible achievement!
