Every International Women’s Day, GB recognises and celebrates the accomplishments of the inspiring women we work with. This year we asked our GB fam to nominate an inspiring woman that they work with, and we were overwhelmed with many worthy nominations. After a tough process, nine women were selected to be profiled for 2021, based on their amazing leadership and accomplishments over the past 12 months.

All of the women featured in these interviews will represent GB at the Women in Insurance Leadership Summit.

Meet Lomond Freeman, a supportive and collaborative member of the GB family. 

Lomond joined GB six years ago and has paved the way for new and upcoming leaders within the South Australian Business Unit relating to People and Culture. She has provided strong and effective support to new and established leaders at GB.

Lomond was nominated by a colleague who values her dedication to ensure that the Adelaide team members are safe and capable of working to their potential. She is well regarded for her genuine compassion and thoughtfulness in supporting the business with passion and sincerity. Lomond’s strong work ethic and her ability to support staff with a smile is appreciated every day.

Describe how Gallagher Bassett is helping you face your future with confidence
GB has provided me a platform to grow my career as an HR professional. I have been fortunate to have been promoted multiple times and have been provided with amazing opportunities in this growing organisation. I am proud of the strong leadership team I work with who I support, and in turn who support me.

Who is your inspiration or role model?
I don’t have any one role model that I look to for inspiration but I admire many traits and qualities in the many inspirational people I am lucky to have in my life.

What is your commitment to helping forge women’s equality?
I am passionate about creating opportunities for those who need flexibility to juggle the many hats that parents are required to wear.
