GB introduces telehealth solution, GuideLine, an Injury Assistance Hotline. As technology continues to progress, it’s important that our processes continue to progress to ensure we are providing the best possible care and treatment for employees.

GB’s GuideLine is a telehealth service that provides employees with 24/7 access to triage health professionals to assess, report and provide treatment advice following an injury, illness or incident.

GB’s National Business Development Manager, Emma Hosking advises,

When an injury occurs, injured workers can now contact our free call hotline anywhere anytime and receive immediate medical advice from a qualified injury management advisor, and the incident is accurately recorded, notified and treated.

This service is beneficial for all employees but particularly those working in regional areas, on the road, working from home or outside of standard business hours. For injured workers who have sustained low complex injuries GuideLine provides the ability for health professionals to give advice on how to administer basic first aid, and ways of treating a new injury over the phone.

GuideLine is proven to reduce workers’ compensation claims by providing every possible support to mitigate the impact and expedite recovery when an injury occurs. Ensuring injuries are correctly treated and cared for immediately after an injury is often critical in preventing more serious issues that can occur later down the track. Your employees can also obtain immediate referrals if required to our approved medical provider network of qualified Doctors, Physios etc.

Early intervention can make a dramatic difference to incurred days of lost time and reduce the severity and length of claims. The provision of GuideLine will ensure that even if the claim does require lodgement, there will be a reduction in lag time between the accident and the injury.
