We are excited to announce that our NT based operations are now live!
Since announcing the appointment to provide self-insurance claims management services to all Territory government staff, we have established our Darwin office with a head count of 25 joining the Darwin team.
Many of the NT team were employed locally and some relocating interstate from within the business.
John Deane, NT Operations Manager is excited to have the team up and running,
“Launching the Northern Territory operations is an exciting milestone for Gallagher Bassett and I’m confident that with the team of enthusiastic individuals we have here that we will exceed all expectations and establish long term business relationships.”
To ensure better injury prevention and support early, sustainable return to work outcomes, GB will be providing a broad range of training and education programs to government agencies under myGB Education which was presented to the Northern Territory Government this week.
We have created dedicated hubs to assist in guiding agencies through the life of the claim so they have the appropriate resources and accessibility to the GB team when they need it.
The start-up has been led by GB’s experienced self-insurance leadership team, including Stacey Williams, Executive Director Self Insurance, Ben Sheat, General Manager Self Insurance and Emma Hosking, Transition Manager who have put together a model that is a combination of all of the best things GB has to offer such as GB’s Injury Hotline, mobile case management and a dedicated claims platform.
You can watch more about the agency services available in the video below.
As of Monday 13th November all claim activity was forwarded to Gallagher Bassett from the incumbent provider. All claimants have been notified and we are looking forward to providing a high level service and meeting new clients.
GB will also be establishing offices in Alice Springs and Katherine to support the delivery of services.
We are also proud to be supporting the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services with our Gentle Bear initiative with John Deane, Operations Manager and Stacey Williams delivering 200 bears as part of our commitment to giving back to our communities and the goal of seeing Gentle Bears in every emergency service and police vehicle in Australia.
