Gallagher Bassett (GB) is delighted to announce our CEO John McNamara recently signed ‘The Soldier On Pledge’ to support the National Security Community. The pledge affirms GB’s commitment to creating a supportive workplace that recognise the skills and attributes that ex-service men and women, and their families, bring to the Australian workforce.

Signing the Pledge is a symbol of GB’s commitment to support our national security community.

Soldier On works directly with “Pledge” companies to provide advice about employing and recruiting service personnel, veterans and family members, as well as help provide quality applicants.

John McNamara, GB-Australia CEO, was proud to have the opportunity to make this commitment,

“At GB, we take pride in actively giving back to the community and signing the Soldier On Pledge echoes one of the key values depicted in The Gallagher Way, our promise to  support, acknowledge and respect the abilities of others.

The partnership with Solider On is a fantastic opportunity for our people to develop a greater understanding of our veteran community and to support their transition into the next phase of their careers.”

Soldier On launched in April 2012, with the purpose of helping to secure the futures for all those who have served and continue serving for Australia. The Soldier On Pledge has been signed by over 150 companies.

Recently, John McNamara, GB Australia CEO, also signed The CEO Pledge. The Pledge is a public commitment reinforcing the promise, as individual organisations and as a collective, to challenge inappropriate behaviour and create increasingly welcoming and inclusive workplaces for the diverse talent powering our sector.
