Gallagher Bassett (GB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun Meehan to the role of General Manager – Self Insurance for Australia.

As the General Manager – Self Insurance, Shaun will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the national self insurance business unit.

Previously leading GB’s SA Workers’ Compensation operations, Shaun is highly experienced with a key focus on delivering quality outcomes for clients. He is passionate about delivering exceptional service for stakeholders.

Throughout his 16 year career at GB, Shaun has built strong relationships with clients, including our self insured employers during his time as regional manager of our self insurance teams in 2012. His focus on driving performance and strategic outcomes supports his strong relationships with stakeholders.

Shaun is enthusiastic about the changing landscape of self insurance in Australia.
“I look forward to leading our Self Insurance teams and strategy at GB, it is such a rapidly changing and evolving environment at the moment”, Shaun said.

Shaun will lead GB’s National Self Insurance contracts as well as our NT Government and Comcare contracts.

Shaun is excited about the new role and spoke highly of the self insurance division,

Gallagher Bassett was appointed to provide self-insurance claims management services for public sector employees on behalf of the Northern Territory Government. The operation is being led by Shaun and his highly capable self-insurance team.
