Gallagher has been recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by independent international arbiter Ethisphere for the 9th consecutive year.
Since 2007, Ethisphere has honoured the World’s Most Ethical Companies who recognize their critical role to influence and drive positive change in the business community and societies around the world and work to maximize their impact wherever possible.
In 2020, 132 recipients are being honoured from 21 countries and 51 industries. Gallagher as a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, is the only recipient in the insurance industry.
The institute’s website describes the list as recognising companies that truly go beyond making statements about doing business "ethically" and translate those words into action.
John McNamara, Gallagher Bassett’s Chief Executive Officer for Australia said,
“At Gallagher Bassett, we trust our people and believe that integrity is the cornerstone of our organisation, so being named as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the ninth year in a row, is not only an honour but evidence of how our values and are embedded in our culture.”
Ethisphere Institute’s World's Most Ethical Companies ranking methodology includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity and initiatives to support a strong value chain.
All companies that participate in the assessment process receive an Analytical Scorecard providing them with a holistic assessment of where their programs stand against the demanding standards of leading companies.
Best practices and insights from the 2020 honorees will be released in a report and webcast in March and April of this year.
