Gallagher Bassett Showcasing Government Innovations at Public Sector Show

Gallagher Bassett (GB) is pleased to announce we will be exhibiting at the 2018 Public Sector Innovation Show in Canberra later this month.

Following a total sell-out over the last two years, the Public Sector Innovation Show returns on the 27th of March to connect Australia’s Federal, State and Local Government in an interactive world-class conference.

Featuring 50+ speakers with both international and local case studies, this conference will gives practical examples of how to lead and maintain a culture of innovation within a government organisation.

The conference will feature four key streams dedicated to:

  • Human Resources
  • Procurement and finance
  • ICT and digital government
  • Business processes and transformation.

GB will be represented by National Business Development Manager, Emma Hosking as part of the conference’s Innovation Exhibition.

Emma will be showcasing some of the innovative claims solutions GB has built for government agencies over the last 12 months.

Emma is excited about the opportunity to connect with government departments to discuss how innovative new technologies are transforming government claims services.

“In the past six months, GB has partnered closely with both the Northern Territory and New South Wales state governments on the re-design of self insured government schemes”. Emma said.

“By combining technological innovation with a true customer service focus we’ve been able to work with our government partners to co-design solutions that deliver better outcomes and better service experiences”.

In the Northern Territory, GB recently partnered with the Department of Finance to re-engineer their self insured workers’ compensation scheme, modernising it through a new online portal. A short video about this transformation can be viewed below.

GB has also been partnering closely with icare NSW on the redesign of the NSW Home Building Compensation Fund (hbcf), as well as their General Lines government self insurance scheme.

Commenting on the partnership, Tim Plant, Group Executive Self Insurance at icare Insurance for NSW, said:

“We are proud to welcome Gallagher Bassett as our new provider, who showed strong expertise across a broad range of insurance services, a dynamic digital offering to simplify the claims process, and a desire to collaborate with us to help deliver the best outcomes for our valued Government Agency partners.”

“GB’s appointment forms part of icare’s three-year transformation strategy to build a world-class insurance offering with a customer-centred approach to delivering value to the Agencies, workers and assets of NSW.”
