Congratulations to the 2019 WorkSafe Award Finalists!

Congratulations to all the finalists in this years’ WorkSafe Victoria Awards!

For over 31 years, the annual WorkSafe Awards recognise Victorian businesses and individuals whose commitment, initiatives and innovation have made an outstanding contribution to workplace health, wellbeing, safety and return to work in their fields.

Eight Gallagher Bassett (GB) clients were named as 2019 finalists; Opal Aged Care, Metropolitan Fire Brigade, Whittlesea City Council, Coca Cola Amatil,  Baw Baw Shire Council, Dyson Group of Companies, DP World and Scope.

  • Metropolitan Fire Brigade - Leading Return to Work Practice by an Employer
  • Kate Rowe, Whittlesea City Council - RTW Coordinator Excellence
  • Coca Cola Amatil - OHS Leadership/Achievement Award 
  • Baw Baw Shire Council - Leading Return to Work Practice by an Employer
  • Dyson Group of Companies - Best Solution to a Specific Workplace Health and Safety Issue
  • Jason Atkinson, DP World Melbourne (Limited) - Health and Safety Representative of the Year
  • Scope - Commitment to Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Stephanie Connolly, Claims Operations Manager, spoke highly of the finalists.

“We’re delighted to see so many of our clients at GB recognised as part of the 2019 WorkSafe Awards,” Stephanie said.

“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the incredible work that these organisations do to improve the health and safety of their workplaces,” she added.

These finalists have achieved significant health improvements in their workplace, and have directly contributed to preventing injuries and ensuring their workers return to work.

  • Health and Safety Representative of the Year

All finalists are invited to the prestigious WorkSafe Victoria Awards 2019 Gala Dinner on Thursday 31 October 2019 where we will announce this year’s winners.
