The revised General Insurance Code of Practice comes into effect from 1st July 2015.

Major changes include provisions to help consumers suffering financial hardship, establishment of an independent “code governance committee” and tighter timeframes to respond to claims. GB is compliant with the code and clients will see this through the continuation of service delivery post 1st July.

Gallagher Bassett have reviewed changes from the existing Code of Practice and amended relevant processes and documentation accordingly.  Workshop training on the new code has been conducted for all GB staff members working on General Insurance portfolios to ensure ongoing compliance.

Clients wanting further information in relation to the Code of Practice and its relevance to their portfolios should contact GB .
