Celebrating Excellence At The 2022 GB Awards – meet Nicola Luk-Tung
Every year, Gallagher Bassett (GB) hosts the GB Awards - a celebration of our people and a chance to stop and reflect on the amazing work they do each and every day.
Pete Nicholson, GB Australia Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Our annual GB Awards program is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the amazing work that our people do every day, and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate a colleague.

There are eight award categories:
- Claims Manager of the Year
- Internal Customer Service Provider of the Year
- External Customer Service Provider of the Year
- Process Challenger of the Year
- Emerging Leader of the Year
- Impact Leader of the Year
- Sales Person of the Year
- The National Gallagher Way Award
This year, Nicola Luk-Tung and the Personal Injury Taskforce were recognised with the Internal Customer Service Provider of the Year award! Stephanie Connolly, General Manager, nominated Nicola and the Taskforce:
“The Personal Injury (PI) Taskforce has added value to our PI business units through supporting both existing and new contracts. To date, the Taskforce has supported the retention of staff, provided job rotation opportunities, developed a talent pipeline, undertaken claims management activity during periods of high vacancies to maintain service levels and reduce burden on other staff.
They have also supported the Business Units by coordinating and managing additional projects, allowing others to focus on their team’s capability and performance and not add to their workload during a challenging time”.
When asked about what she enjoys most about her role in leading the PI Taskforce, Nicola remarked:
“What I enjoy most about my role is being able to be a part of someone’s journey, to help them stretch their own abilities, learn new skills and improve.
I also get the opportunity to collaborate and learn from so many different people within the business.”
