Every year, Gallagher Bassett (GB) hosts the GB Awards - a celebration of our people and a chance to stop and reflect on the amazing work they do each and every day.

Pete Nicholson, GB Australia Chief Executive Officer, said:

“Our annual GB Awards program is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the amazing work that our people do every day, and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate a colleague.

There are eight award categories:

• Internal Customer Service Provider of the Year
• External Customer Service Provider of the Year
• Process Challenger of the Year
• Emerging Leader of the Year
• Impact Leader of the Year
• Sales Person of the Year
• The National Gallagher Way Award

This year, Maggie Armanas was recognised with the Emerging Leader of the Year award! Sally Salter, Branch Manager, nominated Maggie:

“Maggie is an exceptional leader within our business. She has taken a team of new starters on a journey of improvement and they are now operating as an engaged and cohesive team that is exceeding expectations. Maggie is honest, unassuming and humble and her passion for her people and making GB a better place to work is clear”.

When asked about what she enjoys most about her role, Maggie remarked:

“I enjoy working in a customer facing role and building relationships with GB’s clients. I’m committed to leading a high performing team to achieve recovery and return to work outcomes to help support the South Australian community.

I’m also passionate about improving staff retention and connection at GB and am a co-chair of GB’s National Inclusion, Diversity and Wellbeing Committee and a representative of SA’s Local Engagement Committee”.
