Mobile Case Management Hits the Road in Victoria

GB is pleased to announce that we have officially commenced our mobile case management model in Victoria.

The aim of the model is to help facilitate return to work and provide an added level of service and support to injured workers and employers.

Our Mobile Case Managers will focus on areas such as:

  • Developing return to work arrangements with all stakeholders
  • Explaining the workers’ compensation process (inclusive of employer liability, RTW obligations)
  • Treatment approvals where appropriate
  • Support for the injured worker and employer.

Our mobile case managers will be conducting visits to injured workers who have sustained musculoskeletal injuries, with the aim of completing this visit within the first six months of receiving any new claim.   These visits can occur at either the worksite with the employer present or at their GP’s room with the GP, Specialist and/or Physio present.

Assistant Operations Manager, Stephanie Connolly played an instrumental role in the set up and launch of the model and is excited to see injured workers and employers benefit from it.

“We have been working hard to develop the model over the last eight months and have worked closely with the mobile case management team in South Australia to ensure that the Victorian model was both a tailored and provides a high level of customer service. I am excited for injured workers and employers to reap the benefits of the face to face service and see positive outcomes generated as a result of the initiative.”

General Manager - Victoria, Aidan Brophy is excited about the launch of the model.

“As a business we are dedicated to providing our customers with quality and innovative solutions and this is a prime example of how we are evolving the scheme model in Victoria in line with our service first approach. The personalised face-to-face support will enable the best opportunity for a fast and sustainable recovery and return to work”.

GB was the first to pilot and launch mobile case management services in South Australia back in 2013. During this time we have partnered successfully with ReturnToWork SA through a host of major legislative changes which have dramatically transformed the Scheme.

We are looking to partner with organisations who require these services plus those who have mental injury issues within their workplace. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
