The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) have named Gallagher Bassett (GB) as a 2017 finalist in the category of service provider to the insurance industry of the year.

 Co-hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and Founding Partner, the Asia Insurance Review, 2017 will mark the 14th year of the awards.

 The event unites all sectors of insurance for a celebration of excellence, professionalism and community.

In announcing the finalists ANZIIF recognised “with a record 106 submissions into this year's awards, the judges were faced with difficult decisions.”

Managing Director of Australia, John McNamara is ecstatic with the news,

We have a real focus on innovation and identifying, assessing and meeting upcoming industry challenges so being named as a finalist in the ‘Service Provider to the Insurance Industry of the year’ category is a tremendous result and a testament of the hard work of the greater GB team”

 Attended by more than 750 of the industry’s top executives, the Australian Insurance Industry Awards recognise the finalists and winners of 17 award categories, which include individuals and companies spanning the breadth of Australian insurance.

 Winners of each category will be announced at the ANZIIF annual awards dinner on Thursday 31^st of August.

 GB has also had our approach to talent management recognised again, this year coming in second place for the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) 2017 Top 25 Intern Programs list moving up from 8th place the previous year.

 Our intern program aims to provide students with an opportunity to work with, and gain firsthand experience with Australia’s leading third-party claims administrator.

 The intern program is very much a part of who we are at GB giving the opportunity for great new talent to experience the best of the insurance industry.
