In March Gallagher Bassett launched a new division providing claims management services to the Life and Disability industry.

As the largest multi- disciplinary Third Party Claims Administrator (TPA) in Australia we continue to set the benchmark for quality, customer service and TPA systems across all insurance sectors and are very excited to expand our portfolio to the life and disability market.

We will be applying the success from our personal injury management model across to the new life and disability division, drawing on our extensive local resources to provide customised claim solutions in order to improve customer experience and client outcomes.

The Life and Disability team have already commenced services on a significant contract.

Based in Sydney the team includes Carol Vazey - Operations Manager, Michael Wedesweiler - Team Leader, Alexandra Florio - Claims Consultant, Luke Warner - Claims Consultant, Richard Ycasiano - Claims Consultant and Jenni Gregoire - Claims Consultant.

The team is seasoned and experienced, having more than 50 years of experience in Life Insurance combined.

Shayne Milsom, Executive Director of Life and Disability Products AUS / NZ will oversee the team, account manage the contract and continue to be based in Melbourne.

The team of Claim Consultants have completed induction and training and have started completing detailed reviews of income protection claims to develop comprehensive strategies to improve customer experience.

Over the next twelve months the life and disability team will engage and work with external stakeholders such as rehabilitation providers, investigators and forensic accountants with the intention of bringing the claims to resolution and achieving the best customer outcome.
